              17. The two prophets

Adventists teach that in Rev.11:4 is told, that two prophets are two lamps. Ps. (119:105) tells "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet”; Proverbs tells (6:23): " For the commandment is a lamp”, thus “lamp" means: "Word of God" and the two prophets  symbolize a word of God, and, as there are two of them, then they are two words of God - Old and New testaments. If we would follow Adventist logic, what we will do with the verse 2Sam.22:29 - " For You, O Lord, are my Lamp"? If the prophets are two lamps, as Adventists teach, it turns out, that two prophets are the two gods. It is an absurd.

In Revelation 11:4 the word “lampstand” was used: “these are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which stand before the Lord. “Lamp” and “lampstand” do not have the same meaning. Lamps were part of a lampstand: “The lampstand also for the light, and its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light” (Ex. 35:14).   A temple lampstand had seven lamps (see Ex. 39:37; 40:4,24,25; Lev.24:4; 1Chr.28:15).

Thus, the doctrine about two prophets, as about Old and New testaments was based on the incorrect use of the two words: 'lampstand' and 'lamp' , which frequently are replaced one by another in different translations.

As about the two olive trees staying before God, David called himself the olive tree in the house of God (Ps. 52:8) ; Jeremiah called Israel the olive tree (11:16). The olive tree is a symbol of God’s blessings, God’s election. Two prophets will be the chosen ones by God, not by people, as David and Israel nation were chosen by God.

Before any test God raised the prophets who called people to come back to God and to leave their sinful ways. So was always, when God was with Israel. Last 3.5 years He will be again with Israel and through the prophets He will admonish the people to come to Him in order to be saved. God promised: «Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD» (Mal.4:5). Of course, none  of the prophets will be resurrected Elijah himself. As you remember, Jesus had called John the Baptist Elijah (Mat.11:14; 17:12) and we know exactly that John wasn’t resurrected Elijah at all, he just was full of Holy spirit as Elijah was. So and the two prophets will be full of Holy Spirit, as Elijah. As Elijah was capable to shut a rain for 3,5 years (1King.17:1), so they will be capable to do the same (Rev.11:6), as Moses transformed waters into blood, so they will be capable to do the same (11:6). Those who will want to harm and offend them, will be killed by a word, which is as fire (Jer.5:14), just as were killed by a word of Peter Ananias with his wife (Act.5:1-10).

Adventist teach that two prophets (so they say are Bible) were prophesying during the 1260 years of power of the little horn, and thus they would be killed after 1798, when according their teachings the power of the little horn was finished. Besides the fact that power of the little horn had finished in 1849, Adventists are making another mistake. They teach: “In 1793, the power of Atheism, calling itself ‘communism’ arose mainly in France and they passed a law outlawing the Bible. ‘It was ‘killed’; in other words, it was to have no political influence at all… Exactly 3 ½ years later, that same government passed a law putting the Bible and belief in God back in their rightful place’”  http://www.present-truth.org/Remnant-Prophecy/rev_11.htm ..Now they teach that Bible “was killed” from 1793 till 1797 and it was “resurrected” in 1797.

However here they make not only logical mistake but historical one also.

The French Revolution lasted from 1789 till 1799. Decades before it started France had been experiencing a major financial crisis. A big national debt, the government's lavish spending, and an archaic system of taxation which brought little money to the national coffers by placing the greatest tax burden upon impoverished bourgeoisie, while virtually ignoring the clergy and the nobility,  caused a wide pauperization and a food shortage in the country. King Louis XVI was forced to confront the crisis and  on May 5, 1789, the National Assembly convened to deal with this issue.

However the decisions were slowing down by the nobility, because it didn’t want to loose its privileges. Then on June 17, 1789, the representatives of the bourgeoisie reconstituted themselves as the National Assembly. The king opposed this development and sent the army to scatter ”the impostors”.  The members being scared of the prosecution decided to stay together despite the king’s prohibition. 577 men signed the oath, that they will stay together until French constitution will be created, and that political authority has to come from people not from the monarch.

More and more people supported the movement. The crowd stormed Bastille 14 July 1789, released a couple prisoners and massacred a couple of state officers.  After this violence, nobles started to flee the country, some of them began plotting civil war within the kingdom and agitating for a European coalition against France. In August 11, 1789 revolutionaries had issued The Decree Abolishing the Feudal System.

In October 1789, angry and hungry women of the Parisian under class marched to Versailles, the palace where the royal family lived, and brought them back to Paris to deal with a food shortage.

In November 1789 church property was confiscated (Church lands represented 10-15% of the land in France. In addition the Church collected tithes). The Revolution turned the clergy into employees of the state and had required that they take an oath of loyalty to the nation. Priests who refuse to take the oath were banned from preaching in public. By the law of the Civil Constitution of the Clergy (Fr. "Constitution civile du clergé"), passed July 12, 1790.  Bishops and priests were elected locally. Authority of the pope over the appointment of clergy was reduced to the right to be informed of election results.  New bishops were required to swear loyalty to the State. In Nov.1791 priests who refused to take the oath were arrested and massacre of priests began.

After the attempt of the royal family secretly leave the country, and followed after that their imprisonment many European monarchs were thrilled by widening events in France. Revolutionaries being afraid of a treachery had toughened measures of preservation the achievement of the revolution. The Royal family was convicted of high treason, and in August of 1792 the family was imprisoned in Bastille. In January, 1793 the king was beheaded.

In September 1793 The Reign of Terror started. It was the political regime intended to defend the Revolution by destroying internal enemies and conspirators and chasing external enemies from French territory.

p13Ad.Terror.jpg (26749 bytes)

During The Terror most civil liberties were suspended. Church and Bible were outlawed. The fanatic atheist Jacques Hébert, initiated a religious campaign in order to dechristianize society. He introduced the worship of a goddess of Reason. The climax was reached with the celebration of the Goddess "Reason" in Notre Dame Cathedral on 10 November1793.  At that time Georges Danton and Maximilien Robespierre dominated the new government and were in opposition to Hebert’s policies. In 1794 Hébert  was guillotined and Robespierre proposed a new state religion, the Cult of the Supreme Being. Rejecting atheism, the new Cult was based around the worship of a Deist-style creator god. The Supreme Being was all gods of all religions in one. In July 27 1794 Robespierre was guillotined also, with his death the Cult of Supreme Being was finished.

In 1795 The new elective (each year one director, chosen by lot )executive power was set up - the Directory (from November, 1795 until November, 1799). Executions had stopped and the situation in the country began to normalize. However in 1797 the more conservative directors measures against the church were revived. Only in 1801 after the signing The Concordat between Napoleon and the Church the dechristianisation period of France was ended.

Thus, during all French revolution and until 1801 dechristianization of the nation had been continued and Bible was outlawed. Not 3,5 years as Adventists teach.
Adventists claim the Bible “died” in 1793 when the reign of terror began and together with it introduction of the Cult of Reason and Cult of Supreme being. However in one year after their birth  both of these cults died (in 1794). After that for less than 3 years Christian religion wasn’t under the prosecution. Then the persecution began again and it lasted for 4 years. After that the religion became the lawful part of lives of French people.

Therefore there are no historical, no Biblical support for the theory of two prophets as the Bible. A someone had a very big imagination and very little logic and knowledge of history to think about the two prophets as Bible.

Thus, the prophets will preach during 1260 days, then they
will
be killed and after 3,5 days they will be resurrected (Rev.11:9) and taken to heaven.

The Bible says, that the prophets will preach during the occupation of Jerusalem at the end of days (Rev.11:2,3) and will finish their mission just before the 7-th trumpet, before Jesus' coming.

                                   18. After the last battle

In the previous chapter we saw that the bowls will be poured out on earth after the 1000 years. All nations with Gog will attack Jerusalem in the last days. Jesus will come with the 7-th trumpet and will stop Gog’s siege.
«For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God (not with bowls!) : and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord» (1Thes.4:16,17);

God is gone up … with the sound of a trumpetGod reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne (judgment of alive)
of his holiness. The princes of the
people are gathered together
(for the judgment), even the people of the God of Abraham (Jews)” (Ps.47:5,8,9).

«in those days and at that time when I shall reverse the captivity and restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem (i.e. when God will forgive the Jews and will release them from their enemies), I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel... Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full …— so great is their wickedness!" (harvesting of the wicked) » (Joel 3:1-2, 12,13; Ps.47:8-9).

It is the judgment of alive, about which Matthew wrote: «When the Son of man shall come in his glory… then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:, And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:... And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. ... Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels… And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal» (Mat.25:31-46).

It will be the judgment of alive righteous and unrighteous after the 7th trumpet, when the besiege of Jerusalem will be stopped, all alive will be assembled , and Jesus will sit on His throne of glory. After the 7th trumpet «the mystery of God should be finished» (Rev.10:7), and everything that seems impossible today, will be possible. The spirit will transfer many alive (Acts.8:39-40) to the valley of judgment. As fire eternal will be only after the 1000 years, here again we see the parallelism: the same judgment will be made and after the 1000 years. The judgment of the alive will be fast, as the living already will make the judgment for themselves. Some will have the mark of the beast, others - the seal of God. When Jesus will appear these two categories of the alive will simply divide, some - to the one side, others - to another, and the group of unrighteous will be destroyed.

The resurrection of the dead saints and the rapture of alive saints, as it already was shown above, had taken place during the sounding of the 7th trumpet, in 1290 days after the first attack against Jerusalem:«In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump...the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed» (1 Cor.15:52). Only Christ's believers were taken to heaven without the judgment: « He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment » (John 5:24) (In KJ the word “condemnation” was used. However the right word is “judgment”. Here the Greek word “kpicin” was used, which is the same word John used in 5:22 «For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son». The same word was used in Mat.12:18,20,41,42. You can check it by yourself in Greek translation http://www.scripture4all.org or in a parallel bible http://www.tagnet.org/bible/). The righteous who had not accepted Jesus, but followed to commandments of God (as many Jews), will come to the judgment. They will be judged  together with the non-believers and unrighteous.

«Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law; That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked. For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance» (Ps.94:12-14). The alive and dead saints  will be taken to heaven during the sounding of the 7th trumpet, they will not wait on earth «until the pit be digged for the wicked». It is spoken about those who will go through the second harvesting- the harvesting of the wicked.

Matthew in ch.24 tells that the second coming of Jesus will be, as in the days of Noah: «For as in the days that were before
the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving
in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and
took them all away (i.e.
they were killed) ; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken (i.e.killed), and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken (i.e.killed), and the other left» (24:38-41). It means, that in Jesus’ coming wicked people shall be taken in the same manner as it was during the Flood, i.e. they will be perished. Here is spoken about the second harvesting, when all wicked people will be perished and righteous, who did not reach Kingdom of Heaven, will be left on earth.
In the given verse nothing is said about Kingdom of heaven: Noah with his family were left on earth. Here it is spoken about the saved who were left on earth and the wicked who died.

About the same destruction of the wicked Jeremiah  spoke: «Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD... for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days. And their houses shall be turned unto others (to those who will be left), with their fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land,
saith the LORD
» (6:11,12).

First harvesting of the saints already took place: saints were taken to heaven with the sound of the 7-th trumpet. They were taken from among the wicked and righteous. About the second hervesting the Bible says: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just (Мат.13: 49).

«Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty  (1335) days» (Dan.12:12). So, the 7th trumpet will sound in 1290 days after the first attack of Jerusalem, both dead and alive saints will be taken to heaven. From the 7th trumpet to the end of the harvesting - (1335-1290=) 45 days. Blessed are those righteous who will stay alive after the harvesting of the wicked, i.e. after 1335 days : «Thy dead men shall live,    their bodies will rise (i.e. the resurrection and ascension of the saints was already took place)... Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast» (Isa.26:19-20). The righteous, who will be saved  will hide themselves from God’s angry act of the harvesting of the wicked and will stay alive to live on the earth.

The righteous who will be left on Earth « that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons,... and they shall burn them with fire seven years:. ... and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it “The valley of Hamongog”. And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.... Thus shall they cleanse the land» (Ezek.39:9,11,12,16). As it was discussed above, Gog with all his multitude will attack Jerusalem just before the Second coming, thus, Bible clear tells that some people will be left on Earth after the Second coming. They will cleanse the earth off corpses.

«It shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues (the judgment of alive); and they shall come, and see my glory. And I
will set a sign among them, and from them I will send
survivors to the nations..., that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. And
they shall bring all your brethren
for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations
» (Isa.66:18-20). It means that the saved people who will come to Jerusalem from the remote countries for the judgment, will return to their countries, and will bring all Jews from their countries to Jerusalem as a gift to God (also Isa.60:4; Isa.49:22,23).

«I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion»  (Jer.3:14).  «I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. They will be my people, and I will be their God» (Jer.32:37,38).  «For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land… I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.. you will be my people, and I will be your God. » (Ezek.36:24,26,28; also Jer.31:8,23; Ezek.22:18).

I will gather you from the nations and bring you back from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you back the land of Israel again. … I will … put a new spirit in them; …and they will be My people” (Ezek.11:17-19; Иез.36:26-29).

«And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.... Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel... When I have brought them again from the people... Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel» (Ezek.39:21,22,25,27,29).

«And it shall come to pass ( after the great last battle - v. 1-11) afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh » (Joel 2:28).

«On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication » (Zech.12:9,10).

«In the whole land…two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one-third will be left in it. This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,'  and they will say, 'The LORD is our God” (Zech.13:8,9).

«But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people» (Jer.31:33).

So, Bible tells that Jews will be God’s people again only after the last battle, after the judgment of the alive, when the survived Jews from all countries will return to Jerusalem.

« I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them. .. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them» (Jer.32:37-40). Here it is talking about generations after the Second coming.

After the judgment « every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain»  (Zech.14:16,17). Many nations will go against Jerusalem only before the Second coming of Jesus. Those who will be left of all those nations will live on earth.

«The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled... they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant, therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.... The city of confusion is broken down (Rev.11:13) ... When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done  (i.e. when the harvesting of wicked was already done). They (the righteous who will be left on earth) shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea“ (Isa.24:3,5,6,10,13,14).

After the second harvesting: «They have even defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed: wherefore I have consumed them in mine anger. Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever» (Ezek.43:8,9).

«all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity.... For I will restore health unto thee (Israel), and I will heal thee of thy wounds... the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.... And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God» (Jer.30:16-18,22).

«and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.» (Zech.12:6).
«In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely» (Jer.33:16; Jer.23:6).

«I will take you from among the heathen (Jews will return to Jerusalem), and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.... A new heart also will I give you, and
a new spirit
will I put within you... and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them... And ye shall dwell in the land that
I gave to your fathers
; and
ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.» (Ezek.36:24-28).

Read Joel ch.3:12-21:
v.12.- Judgment of the alive;
v.13.- The harvesting of the wicked;
v.16.- God brings disaster on the wicked and gives security to His people;
v.17-21. - The restoration of the prosperity of Jerusalem and Judea.

«For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein» (Isa.51:3).

«and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the temple eastward:...(also Zech.14:8;Joel 3:18) These
waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into
the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth
into the sea, the waters shall be healed.... every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come,
shall live
» ( Ezek.47:1,8,9).

This is not a description of New Jerusalem, where there will be no temple (Rev.21:22), where  will no sea be there(Rev.21:1), and where will be an absolutely new planet there that will not require any cure. It is the description of a restoration of the planet after the action of seven trumpets: «to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages» (Isa.49:8).

                                  19. New or Restored Jerusalem?

Many prophecies about the restored after the second coming Jerusalem have parallels with New Jerusalem, however attentive study of details will not leave any doubt  what Jerusalem there is talking about.

So, Ezekiel sees a new temple and city, which gates named after the names of the tribes of Israel (Ezek.48:31), as it described in New Jerusalem (Rev.21:12); he sees trees which are giving each month  fruits and the leaves for medicine (Ezek.47:12), the same tree saw John in New Jerusalem (Rev.22:2); a name of the city: «The LORD is there» (Ezek.48:35), that also can result in hasty conclusions, that it is New Jerusalem. However, sizes of city in 4500 cubits (Ezek.48:16), it - is obvious not the sizes of New Jerusalem in 12000 furlongs from each side (Rev.21:16). Ezekiel saw a temple and an altar (Ezek.41:22). New Jerusalem will not have a temple (Rev.21:22). There will be no more death there, therefore there an altar can not be in New Jerusalem either.

«And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones» (Isa.54:12). Many think, that the description of New Jerusalem  is given here, however in New Jerusalem each gate will be made not of carbuncles but of a one single pearl (Rev.21:21).

By replacing the restored Jerusalem by New we receive incorrect conclusions. There, in prophecies, it is spoken about an attack against of the restored Jerusalem after the 1000 years of peace (Rev.20:8), it is not spoken about the attack against of New Jerusalem, which, according to the Bible will descend on the new earth and will never have any attack.

In Rev. (20:9) it is spoken, that after the 1000 years Gog  will surround «the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city».
The given words in relation to the city of Jerusalem direct many in hasty and incorrect conclusions, that it is not terrestrial Jerusalem, but heavenly one, because there can not be saints on the earth after the second coming. However Bible tells that after the coming of Christ  «he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy» (Isa.4:3).

Bible also tells, that restored Jerusalem will be called as
«habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness» (Jer.31:23);
«And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them» (Jer.33:9).
«At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem.
No longer will they follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts» (Jer.3:17).
«And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken» (Isa.62:12);
«a city of truth» (Zech.8:3). In the given verses you see the two groups of the people, when in New Jerusalem all people will be holy.  On the restored Earth only the Jews will be holy, because only they will receive the spirit of God, rest of the people will be righteous.

Because the principle of parallelism is understood not by many, the prophecies about the restored Jerusalem are perceived as  prophecies about New Jerusalem.

So Isaiah in chapter 60 describes Jerusalem, where gates will not be locked (:11) as it will be in New Jerusalem (Rev.21:22). There will be no more violence (:18), and many think, that can be only in New Jerusalem. «Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended» (Isa.60:20), In Rev. 21:23 is said about New Jerusalem by similar words.

However further Isaiah speaks, that the sons of the foreigners will build walls of Jerusalem (:10) , and we know, that the walls of New Jerusalem will be created by God, and nobody in New Jerusalem will be  perceived as a foreigner.

We know, that in New Jerusalem the people will live eternally and will not give a birth anymore (Luke.20:35). But Isaiah continues:
«A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time» (:22). So, we see, that the prophecy speaks about the restored Jerusalem.

What about the moon will not be hidden, and the sun will not go off it is spoken about what was before the great and terrible Day of God: «shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light» (Mat.24:29). And it can be understood, that the Lord will never be angry with them anymore. You see even after the 1000 years the 4th bowl, which should supplement the 4th trumpet and cause the darkness of the sun and moon (Rev.8:12) will cause completely the opposite: the sun will give in a seven times more light (Isa.30:26; Rev.16:8). Thus, it is spoken that after the second coming of Christ God will never turn away from His people again.

Isa.65:17 speaks about the new heaven and new earth (where there will be no death and no births), and after two verses continues: «for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed» (:20). «They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them»(:23). Thus we see, that here is spoken about two different times: about the time during the 1000 years in restored Jerusalem, and the time after the1000 years - on the new earth.

Also Isaiah in ch.66 tells us about the restored Jerusalem, and that God will choose the priests and Levites from those Jews, who will come to Jerusalem after the Second coming (:21), and further (:22) he tells: «For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain», i.e. God always, even on the new earth will remember the people of Israel. And further Isaiah continue to speak about the restored Jerusalem: «And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD. And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men».

But the words «the new heavens and the new earth» are bringing many to hasty conclusions: that saints will come out of New Jerusalem and will see the corpses . It is completely incorrect! The corpses on the new earth? Jesus will give His holy ones white clothes not for the digging the dirt and burying the corpses in those clothes.

So, it seems that Jeremiah speaks about New Jerusalem: «And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD» (31:28), but further he continues:  «But every one shall die for his own iniquity» (:30), that, certainly, will be only in restored Jerusalem, as today people die frequently for somebody's else mistakes, and in New Jerusalem there will be no a death anymore.

Zechariah speaks: «Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth» (8:3). Many perceive it, as New Jerusalem, however further Zechariah continues: «There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age» (8:4). It is said about the restored Jerusalem, in New Jerusalem there will be no old age (no dying) there. In restored Jerusalem the name of God will be always there, as it was in times of Solomon (1King.9:3). "Will dwell" means the same as «My tabernacle also shall be with them» (Ezek.37:27), i.e. there will be the temple of God, in which, as it was in an antiquity, there the Glory of God will be always there.

Isaiah 29:18 «And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness....» (New Jerusalem?) , and further «They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that
murmured shall learn doctrine
» (:24). Will be there the erred in
spirit in New Jerusalem? No. It is the restored Jerusalem.

The question arises: with what purpose the terrestrial Jerusalem will be restored after the saints will be taken to Heavenly Jerusalem?

Let's read together. After the second coming of Jesus all Jews
who left alive from all countries will come in Jerusalem (Isa.60:10; Isa.66:20). «For in mine holy mountain… there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings» (Ezek.20:40).

«But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? … And he shall sit as a refiner and … he shall purify the sons of Levi... Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years» (Malach.3:2-4; Jer.33:18; Ezek.43:18).

«All the sinners of my people shall die (the second harvesting)… In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old» (Amos 9:10-11).

«And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem» (Mic.4:8).

For the Lord restores the excellency of Jacob as the excellency of Israel”(Nahum 2:2, AMP)

«And I will turn my hand upon thee (Jerusalem), and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning.
Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness» (Isa.1:25,26; Jer.23:4).

«I…will build them, as at the first» (Jer.33:7).

«And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount
Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and
the shining of a flaming fire by night
» (Isa.4:5). It is the same, as God showed Himself  to the Jewish people during the Exodus
(Ex. 13:21).

«And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob
my servant,
wherein your fathers have dwelt» (Ezek.37:25; Ezek.36:28)."
O descendants of Abraham …He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations, … He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,        to Israel as an everlasting covenant: "To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit." (Ps.105:6-11 ).

Division of the land on twelve tribes of Israel in the future Ezek.47:13 and Isa.34:17 described. This is almost the same division, which was made after Exodus, when God gave the land
of Canaan in possession of Jewish people (Num. 33:54).

As we see, the prophecies not dubiously tell, that God will restore greatness of Israel, as it was in the David's times. He will remove away all wicked people and Satan with his angels. Before the second coming Earth had been under the test: whether there will be righteous left on Earth despite of active intervention of Satan in people's affairs. After the second coming there will be a second test: whether will be wicked left on earth, when all uncleanness will be removed away from the people. It is the question, how strong and hardy a sin is , and that an aspiration to a righteousness and an aspiration to a sin in the main does not depend from an influence from the outside. A sin is inside of the nature of all creations of God. Only God and Jesus who was born from Him do not have a sin in their nature.

As we saw from prophecies, after the Second coming Holy Spirit will be poured out only on the people of Israel (Zech.12:11), as on the priests of  God (Isa.61:6; 66:21), that is why  they will stay righteous, they will be «the camp of the saints» (Rev.20:9).  So, all universe will see, that without a help of God, without His Holy Spirit, mankind again will slide down to a sin. The question about a nature of a sin has to be settled before the new earth will be established.

It will be done in order for no angels nor people would ever have doubts if someone else, except God, would be able to govern the universe. So they will see that not fallen angels before the Flood, no Satan before the second coming, no people before the new earth were able to preserve the planet, because a sin which they are creating, leads to distraction and death of the planet earlier or later.

At the expiration of the 1000 years «Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls (New Jerusalem has walls) for the multitude of men and cattle therein» (Zech.2:4; Ezek.36:38). «Thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited» (Isa.54:3).

And «The captive exile hasteneth that he (Satan) may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail » (Isa.51:14). During 1000 years of the imprisonment he will not lose a time and will make the most refined plans for a temptation of a man. Satan quickly will orient in the new world, he will see, that after the 1000 years of government of saints nothing has changed in a human nature, he has studied it well. Many will begin worship false gods again, assuming God Creator as only God of Israel. Many will be dissatisfied, that God gives to Jews more attention, they will consider themselves as more worthy of such honor, they will create a false church with non-Biblical traditions. Satan will notice who he will work with at once, he will choose 10 disciples and will try to unite all world under one religion again. He will create miracles and will show himself as a god.

Scriptures do not tell, how long Satan will have a power after the 1000 years, it is told, that it will be «a little time » (Rev.20:3). When he again will force people to accept a mark of the beast and to worship his image (Rev.16:2) the first bowl of anger of God will be poured out. Satan again will kill  saints (Rev.16:6). He will act against the remnant of the seed of God, His true believers.
