For
the union of all the believers under one religion the Satan needs Vatican.
Because only Vatican has diplomatic connections with almost each religion and
with the all political authorities of the world, and because it is the largest
religious organization in the world. When the Satan will appear physically and
will show improbable miracles, his occurrence will be represented by Vatican as
the second coming of Jesus. The Satan is in need of Vatican; therefore its
former power comes back to it.
In
the chapter «About the prostitute» it is told about what is already undertaken
by the Roman Catholic Church for the union of religions of the world. There is
no doubt that the
Whore of Babylon in the Revelation is
Vatican.
In chapter 17 the angel tells
John «I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great
whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have
committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk
with the wine of her fornication... and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored
beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns..
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:; And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus» (17:1-6)
«..The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues....
And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth» (15-18)
«...Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils...... and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.... Alas, alas that great city..., for in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster and all the company in ships … stood afar off, and cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, what city is like unto this great city! ... Wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness... thy merchants were the great men of the earth ; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived… And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth» (chapter 18).
Some people think that Babylon in John's prophecy is real Babylon, which was on the territory of modern Iraq, and it will be ostensibly revived by the end of time. This point of view is far from true. Real Babylon of the 4th century BC is called in the Bible «a golden cup in the Lord’s hand» (Jer.51:7), while Babylon of the last days is woman holding a golden cup in her hand. It is said about real Babylon: «it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation... As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein...» (Jer.50:39, 40). Everything happened as it had been predicted. The prophecy given in the 4th century BC is correct up to now: both Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Babylon are the desert till this day. * The Prophecy says about Babylon that it is "secret", that means: mankind will clearly realize what Babylon is only by the end of time. And just now, having all historical information, we can assert that Babylon is Vatican.
