Chapter 14. John sees Jesus on the Mount Zion and 144 thousand redeemed from the earth with him. «These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God».
Then he sees an angel «having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come».
As we see, here Jesus is not in the sky, but already on the mountain Zion (in Jerusalem). And we know that when Jesus comes to the earth, there won’t be time for the preaching. The order of events is changed with the purpose of showing who will exactly be preaching the everlasting Gospel - there will be 144 thousand elected. And we have also found out that they will be the first (firstborns) to be carried away to heaven.
Further: «And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city»;
«And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God»; «And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gathered the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God».
This chapter gives us an opportunity to determine the following order: just after the opening of the 7th seal (when there was silence in the sky) the seal of God is put on the foreheads of the elected; then 144 thousand "teach" the world the forthcoming God's judgment, then 144000 together with the two prophets are carried away to heaven. Then – the fall of Vatican, then – the arrival of Jesus: those killed by the Antichrist are resurrected and together with the alive righteous men are carried away to heaven, the reaping of the unrighteous (about this in detail at p. 240).... And again the reaping?!!!
Do not forget that John's prophecy refers not only to the last time (as it was earlier, here is the same principle «of double meaning»), it also concerns the time of the judgment, which will come in 1000 years. The reaping is the killing of the unrighteous (Compare: «the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire» Mat.13:49)... There will be one reaping in the last days, and one more after 1000 years.
In chapter 20 it is said that after the second coming of Jesus the Angel will cast the Satan into the bottomless pit and will put the seal on him (also Isa.14:12). And in 1000 years the Satan will be released and after his last attempt to organize people into the revolt against God will be cast into the lake of fire. Then the court above all the resurrected will be held «And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death».
«But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death» (21:8).
So
if death in the fiery brimstone lake will be possible only after the
resurrection – it is the second and final death,. The
burning lake will appear only after 1000 years.
Therefore, though in chapter 19 the events, apparently, of the 1st stage (before 1000 years) are described, they refer already to the second (after 1000 years) stage. «And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, (It is a lot of the people in heaven after first resurrection), saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God... For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore (Vatican)… Lord God omnipotent reigneth.... the marriage of the Lamb is come (Jesus), and his wife (the church of the righteous) hath made herself ready... And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper (All others righteous) of the Lamb.... And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.... And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood (as you remember, the first reaping was already reaped). And his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses... and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God....
