Some people think that the observance of Saturday is Old Testament law, which was cancelled, and, if Jesus resurrected on Sunday, now we should celebrate Sunday. But let’s recollect how both precepts were established. Both precepts were established by blood: Old - by the bull blood (Ex. 24:8), New - by Jesus blood (Mat.26:28). Any laws and rules, which were accepted after blood-shed, didn’t include into the testaments. “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth” (Heb. 9: 16, 17). As the testament inures after the death of the man, and nobody can add anything in it, so the New testament came valid after the death of Jesus, and nobody can add anything to it: it is already countersigned with the blood (Gal. 3: 15). The resurrection happened after the blood-shed, so: after the Testament was already authorized, therefore the day, when the resurrection of Jesus took place, as the day of observance doesn’t includes into the New Testament.

For the Christians it’s a tragic mistake to separate Jesus from Sabbath. Sabbath was created before the sin entered the human family. The 7^th day of the week, or Saturday, is the sign of His right, as the Creator to operate the world. And while somebody celebrates real Sabbath, God has a sign: the mankind remembers His testaments. It is not by chance in 140 languages the word designating Saturday, keeps the echoes of the root word "Sabbath", for example: Latin - Sabbatum, Greek - Sabbaton, Italian - Sabato, Portugal - o Sabado, Spanish - el Sabado and, at last, Russian - Subbota. The Satan always aspired to intercept the authority of God over people with his deceit; he always wanted to be esteemed by people as the All Mighty. By establishing his own day of worship and pushing people to accept his day as day of the Creator, he deceived almost all mankind.

«Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy». It is the law for people, who love God. Because «love is the fulfilling of the law» (Rom.13:10). God even in the future is not going to cancel His day: «For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD» (Isa.66:22-23). «There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.» (Heb.4:9). “And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye know that I am the LORD your God” (Eze.20:20).

«Pagans are afraid of the purgatory, therefore they are so faithfull to their gods, - the prostitute reasoned. - Purgatory is a good idea, why do not accept it, this is a good source of the income».

And in 1438AD the holy church announced, that after death every sinner gets in an awful place named "Purgatory" to be cleared of the terrestrial sins before appearing before the All Mighty. From the Satanist practice of Egypt the priests knew that the prays for the dead were considered “effective”, only if the priest (previously paid, of course) perform the burial service over the body. Pagan priests used the doctrine of purgatory to become rich. Playing on sensitive feelings of loss of beloved, they promised to pray for the poor departed soul to make its time of staying in the purgatory shorter. The concept of the purgatory opened a wide door to all kinds priestly extortion. The most important events of the human life: birth, wedding and death, should not be hold without a priest, otherwise weddings were announced void; Children, born from such unions were announced illegal, and newborns were considered dirty until they were baptized. Of course, the participation of a priest in similar ceremonies required a good payment.


Pilgrims clamber Holy Stairs on their knees at church in Rome. As the church teaches each step equal 24 years off purgatory. Stairs supposedly were miraculously delivered from Pontius Pilate's Judgement Hall in Jerusalem Palace.

On assurances of Mother - church each man should regularly visit church holidays, participate in Eucharist, pay church charity and so on to be cleared to reduce the duration of staying in the purgatory. But what does the Bible say on this case? The apostle Paul said: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”...(Eph. 2:8); «...being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” (Rom.5:9, also 1 Thes.1:10; 5:9).

The purgatory belittles the perfection of Jesus’ sacrifice, rejects that His sacrifice buys complete pardon for our sins. The one, who believes in Jesus and lives by His commandments, does not require any additional purification (1John 1:9). It is the lie, accepted by the church for self-enrichment.
