P12 And
«when the fullness of the time was
come» Jesus gave all His privileges up, accepted a human image,
lived with people, taught them and carried His cross on Calvary to die for
people. And even then He could refuse from the death.
When Jesus was seized, and Peter tried
to protect Him Jesus said: «Thinkest
thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more
than twelve legions of angels?»
(Mat.26:53). The
door was always open for Jesus, and He could always leave through it away from a
pain and sneers of those mockeries, created by Him out of terrestrial dust. But He did not do it. In Dan. 12:1 Michael appears at the opening of the 7-th seal, and we will see later that is Jesus who will appear at the opening of the 7-th seal. In Rev.12:7 we find that Michael and His angels fight with Satan and his angels. Both: Michael and Satan, were the managers of angels before the creation of the world. And the great opposition of Jesus and Satan began long before the world had been created. Every time when the name Michael is used in the Bible, there is a conflict between Satan and Jesus. In order to
understand the archangel Michael and Jesus is one and the same person, compare
the following of extracts: «For
the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of
the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first:..»
(1Thes.4:16) Comp. with
: «...when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and
they that hear shall live» (John.5:25). In
the Old Testament you can find the places, where God’s Angel ("angel"
in Hebrew means: "messenger") identify
himself with God, what is not
allowed anyone to do but Jesus. Thus,
in Gen.22:12-18 when
God, testing Abraham
ordered him to slaughter his
loved son, and Abraham was already going to do it,
the God’s Angel stopped
him: «Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I
know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only
son from me. .. That
in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed…
because thou hast obeyed my voice».
In
the picture: Abraham was ready to sacrifice his beloved son for the sake of
God, the God sacrifice His Son for the sake of people. In
“Exodus” (3). «And the angel
of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush
… God called unto him
out of the midst of the bush …
Moreover he said, I am the
God of thy father, the God
of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob...». In “Judges” (2:1) «And an angel of the LORD came up … and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I swore unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you». |
