The events caused by the sounding of the first four trumpets will be very devastated for people, but it will seem as nothing after the sounding of the 5th trumpet. The 5th trumpet will bring a horror - the first woe (Rev.9:12). The war in which the devil creatures will participate, will be the second woe. At that time the two prophets will finish their 1260 days mission (Rev.11:3) and will be killed, resurrected on the third day and taken to heaven. After that the war will finish: «the second woe is past» (Rev.11:14). «And, behold, the third woe cometh quickly»(11:14) – the 7th trumpet sounds.

« There won’t be time any longer. But in the days of the voice of the
seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets» (Rev.10:7).

«And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the
kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.... thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned» (Rev.11:15,17).

«…In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed» (1 Cor.15:52);

“And He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Mat.24:31);

«For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God (not with vials/ bowls!): and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord» (1Thes.4:16,17);

We see the Bible clearly tells, that with the last trump Jesus will descend from heaven, righteous – resurrected and alive - will be taken up to heaven, and kingdoms of the world will become the kingdoms of God.

In ch.12 (v.1-3) Daniel describes the last events on the earth: the time of trouble, the resurrection and ascension of the righteous up to heaven. For the questions: “How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?” (v.6) and “what shall be the issue and final end of these things?” (v.8) he heard the answer: “from the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days”(v.11). That means, from occupation of Jerusalem to the ascension of the righteous up to heaven is 1290 days. And as the righteous will be taken to heaven at the day of the Second coming, the Second coming of Christ will occur in 1290 days after occupation of Jerusalem.

So, we found out that,
first: the prophets will prophesize for 1260 days, then they will be killed and resurrected in the third day, their resurrection will be before the 7th trumpet. Together with the prophets the 144000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel (7:4) will be taken up to heaven also as «the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb» (14:4).

Second: during the sounding of the 7th trumpet («at the last trump») the rest of saints, who died from times of Adam until the very last days will be resurrected “they that are Christ's at His coming» (1Cor.15:22,23). Saints who will be alive will be changed and taken to heaven also.

Third: Jesus will descend from heaven with the last (i.e.7th) trump and He will reign over the world. It is Jesus' second coming.

Fourth: The 7-th trumpet, the Second coming and the resurrection of the righteous will occur in 1290 days after the occupation of Jerusalem (Dan12:11).

It means, at first - 2 prophets and 144000 firstfruits will be taken to heaven before the 7th trumpet; and in the time of the 7th trumpet, i.e. in the time of His coming - all who “are Christ’s”.
After the 7th trumpet Jesus will reign over the Earth.

Thus, Jesus will come in the time of the sounding of 7th trumpet.
«And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle» (Rev.14:14). Jesus will come with a sickle not with bowls. There is no sense to induce troubles with bowls in order to make people to listen, because the trumpets and bowls (or cups) are the signals for attract an attention of the people to God (Num.31:6; Jer. 4:21,6:1; 25:15; Zeph.1:16), so if not by love, by fear to save them ( «And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire» Jude 1:23). The angel told that there is no time left after the 7th trumpet (10:6). This is the time of total destruction of the alive wicked - the harvesting, «and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth» (11:18).

As you remember from Daniel’s prophesy about the 70 weeks, the last half of the week will continue until “to make an end of sins”. Thus, the last half of the week, 3,5 years (or 1260 days), will be finished before the 7th trumpet. Jesus will come with the 7th trumpet and there will be no time left for unrighteous: «There won’t be time any longer» (Rev.10:7). That will be time of the harvesting of the wicked.

There in Old Testament the image of the harvesting is used only as a symbol of killing of unrighteous: Micah 4:12; Job 5:26; Joel 3:13; Isa.24:6,7,13;18:5,6; Jer.6:9-15; Jer.8:13; Jer.9:22; Jer.49:10; Isa.63:3.

However in New Testament we see new details of the harvesting:

Mark 4:29 – The Heavenly Kingdom is like, when the man will sow a grain... «But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come».

Luke 3:17 « fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable» .

Mat.13: The Heavenly Kingdom is like a man who sowed a good seed on his field. But the enemy secretly has sown tares. When plants sprouted, the owner told to his servants (13:30) – «Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn».

Jesus before the calling of the other 70 disciples has told: «The
harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few » (Luke 10:2).

So we see, that Bible speaks about two harvestings: at first -
the harvesting of saints, then - the harvesting of the wicked.
We see, that at first Jesus will gather the wheat in His barn
(saints will be taken up to heaven) , then He will burn the tires
(wicked) –Rev.14:19.

“So he who was seated on the cloud (Jesus) swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested (saints were taken to heaven). Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, "Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth's vine, because its grapes are ripe." The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath (the wicked will be killed)” Rev.14:16-19.

After a stage of the harvesting of the wicked John sees the angels with bowls, «for in them the wrath of God is ended» (15:1. In KJ Bible it is translated “for in them is filled up the wrath of God” – it is not correct. You can see Greek text in www.scripture4all.org , or in any parallel bible in http://www.tagnet.org/bible/ ). What do you think, when will the wrath of God finish, before the 1000 years or after the 1000 years, i.e. after the final battle, when Satan and all wicked will be thrown into the lake of fire? Certainly, after that.

John says, that fifth bowl will be poured out on the seat of the
beast (16:10). From the Daniel's prophecy we know, that the
authority of the beast will proceed 42 months from occupation
of Jerusalem. And, if two prophets will finish their 1260- days
(or 42 month) witnessing time before the 7th trumpet, and after
the 7th trumpet kingdoms of the world will become the Kingdom of God, it means that the government of the beast from the sea and of the antichrist will be finished before the 7th trumpet. It means also, that in the time of the pouring of the bowls an another beast- the red beast (17:3) will rule.
He can be only after the 1000 years.

When the seventh angel will pour out the bowl, « out of the temple of heaven, from the throne », i.e. from Jesus, there will be a voice: « It is done! ». It means, that all judgments to that time will be accomplished. It is the end of existing world, which will come only after the 1000 years.

The bowls will be poured out on earth after the 1000 years, when Satan will be released from abyss. The red beast with seven heads and ten horns, who will govern in time of the pouring of the bowls, is Satan himself, the red dragon from ch.12. He «will ascent out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition» (17:8), i.e. he will come out of abyss (“the bottomless pit”), where he will be placed for 1000 years, and after his final revolt against God he will be destroyed forever.

So, we know, that before the Second coming the beast with 10 horns (10 members of UN) and another beast, who is the false prophet (antichrist) will rule. After the 1000 years Satan will rule. In Rev.19:20 it is spoken, that the beast and the false prophet will be seized and thrown into the lake of fire. However, the lake of fire will appear only after the 1000 years. «This is the second death» (21:8). Here is a foretelling. It means only, that they will be resurrected after the 1000 years and will be thrown into the lake of fire to receive the second death. What will take place after the 1000 years we can read in Rev.20:10: « And the devil … was cast into the lake of fire .., where the beast and the false prophet are». We see, that the red beast wasn't thrown to there, and the reason why, is this: he is devil himself.

Thus, we see only three last governors: the beast which comes from the sea, and the false prophet- before the Second coming of Jesus and Satan or devil (the dragon - red beast) - after the 1000 years.

In Revelation John sees besides groups of the angels (5:11;7:11), separately all together - 32 angels (5:2;7:1,2; 8:2,3,13; 10:1; 14:6,8,9,15,17,18; 15:1; 18:1; 19:17; 20:1).
Every time he saw different angels, and only two times he
saw the same angel, the one of those who had the bowls
(17:1; 21:9). This angel had shown to him two women - the prostitute Babylon and the Bride. It is also serves as an additional key for understanding that bowls will be pour out on the earth after the 1000 years, because the Bride and the Wedding feast will be after the 1000 years. As to Babylon, here we again deal with the parallelism. We know, that Babylon will be before the 1000 years, even before antichrist’s government (on the beast – EU). 10 horns (UN) will burn her and will give the power to the antichrist. However further we see, that she will be together with the beast - Satan, who will be released after the 1000 years. Therefore Babylon - the false church - will be after the 1000 years (or during the 1000 years) as well.

The 7 heads of Satan, as well as 7 eyes of the Spirit, mean a
completeness. Rev.17:9 says "The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth". Here is a parallelism: Babylon –Vatican – sits on 7 hills on which the city of Rome located. Babylon also is harlot and “THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS” (Rev.17:5). The false church - is worldwide, it is spread on all 7 world territorial divisions, "mountains": 1. North. America 2. South. America, 3. Africa, 4. Australia, 5. Europe, 6. Asia and 7. Greenland. And Satan is everywhere there.

The 7 heads “They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while” (Rev.17:10,11). Heads of Satan are all kingdoms trough out the human history. Bible reckons the prophecies from Babylonian empire (gold head of the image, the lion), thus Satan’s heads are:
1) Babylon, 2)Medo-Persia, 3) Greece, 4) Rome, 5)Anglo-America.
They "5 are fallen" in the time when Babylon will seat on the beast with 7 heads and 10 horns, i.e. in the time when NATO will come to power;
6) EU – the new Roman empire- "One is";
7) the government of the 10 horns – UN, which will exist
only “a little while”.

The red beast “ that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition" (Rev.17:10,11) is Satan. Satan " that thou sawest was, and is not (i.e. he will be cast into the pit after the Second Coming); and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit (after the 1000 years he will be released ), and go into perdition (he will be destroyed forever)".

“He is the eighth” means he will rule as the red beast after the 1000 years, as 8^th government. He “is of the seven” means that it was him, who always ruled in the world. The 10 horns on the red beast (Satan) are the kings (Rev.17:12). It means that even after the 1000 years Satan will have his 10 followers who will support him. They will not rule independently, because they will not have the crowns. Satan will rule.

So 42 months of authority of the antichrist will be terminated before the 7th trumpet, Jesus will come with the 7th trumpet. «And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, (resurrection of the saints- Rev.20:4) and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth” (the judgment of alive -– Rev.14:18-19)” (Rev.11:18).

As the trumpets and bowls (cups) in most cases are describing similar events, some details of actions of the bowls give us the additional information about the actions of the trumpets. Thus, we will see, that Gog from the land of Magog will be not only after the 1000 years (6th bowl), but also before the Second coming (6th trumpet). The mark of the beast will be an obligatory after the 1000 years beginning from the 1st bowl and it will be before the Second coming - from the 1st trumpet. The prostitute of Babylon will be after 1000 years (before bowls) and before1000 years (before trumpets) etc.

16.Armageddon

The 6th trumpet will mark a world war, which will take place in Middle East. Read attentively:

The 6th trumpet: «Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates» (Rev.9:14).
The 6-th bowl – “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared” (Rev.16:12).

«And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind... He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown : but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape... and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him» (Dan.11:40-45).

King of the north – Gog of the land of Magog (Ezek.38:2) – it is a
collective image of non-Christian nations, haters of Jews, and today it is quite obvious, that they are Muslims , whose influence today due their multitude and Jihad grows rapidly through out of all world. Israel is completely surrounded by Muslim countries.

The place of the battle, as practically everything in prophecies, is
secreted with the help of the principle of parallelism. At first battle will be in the valley of Armageddon (Rev.16:16) – (Har-Mageddon - Greek name of the valley Megiddo – 2Chron.35:22; Judg.5:19; 2King.23:29). Then, when Gog will surround Jerusalem, Jesus will defeat him in such manner that the attacking will kill each other without any fight, as it had taken place in the valley of Jehoshaphat (2 Chron.20:15-26), therefore the place of a final defeat is named as the valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:2), the valley of Hamon-gog (multitude of Gog - Ezek.39:11), the valley of the dead bodies (Jer.31:40). Their burial place will be in «the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea» (Ezek.39:11).

*It is interesting to note the battle of Jehoshaphat was with
Ammon and Moab which today are Muslim countries.

So, we see the actors of the world war. Some Muslim countries will not be pleased with government of the antichrist and they will act against him at the end of his government. The beast will call all empires of universe (16:14) to the aid. The war will cover all the Middle East.

Hence, according to Daniel, some southern countries, “the king
of the south” will begin the conflict. It is, probably, Libya and Ethiopia, because it is spoken, that they will follow Gog. Also Isaiah prophesied, that Ethiopia will have a contract with Gog (Isa.18:2). About Gog it is told, that he will come from north, but with him «many people» will come (Ezek.38:9; In addition Ezekiel speaks also about Persia (Iran) and about Gomer (Turkey)- 38:5,6).

As this war will begin after the 6th trumpet and after the 6th bowl, there will be a very serious drought on the earth by then, so even Euphrates river will became shallow. This circumstance will allow «the kings of the east» to join the Gog's army. Further his way can be tracked on the map. After crossing Euphrates, they will battle with the army of the antichrist in the valley of Megiddo.

Gog will win (will put to the end the antichrist’s and UN’s government) and he will go along the sea to the south. He will pass through Israel (“He shall enter also into the glorious land”), however he will not touch Edom, Moab and Ammon, because Ammon and Moab are separated from seaside plains by Jordan river and Dead sea, and Edom - by a mountain circuit.

It is possible also, that Jordan, which today is the country, where in an antiquity Ammon, Moab and Edom lived, will be in an agreement with Gog. After that he will enter Egypt.

In all these battles 1/3 people will be killed. Some " tidings" will disturb Gog, and he will decide to return back. So, he will return, will settle down «between the seas and the glorious holy mountain», and he will begin to surround Jerusalem.

Today we can not understand, what will be a motive for surrounding of the destroyed city : «For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together» (Mat.24:28). Isaiah describes Jerusalem in that time (ch.29), as Ariel (in Hebrew: “altar”), i.e. Jerusalem will be all covered with blood. And in that time «the multitude of all the nations” (:7) will attack it.

Through all the history Jerusalem was under attacks of Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Amorites, Philistines (Jud.10:11) and so on, but those always were attacks of a some one nation. In the end of days many nations leaded by Gog will attack the city. That was never happened before. Probably, their goal will be to destroy headquarters of the antichrist, because he will select Jerusalem as his capital. In that time Jesus will come and will punish those who will besiege of Jerusalem. «And I will encamp about mine house because of the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes» (Zech.9:8).

God will make so, that the besiegers will kill each other. «And this
shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people
that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume
away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall
consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume
away in their mouth. And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall
lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand
shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour» (Zech.14:12,13).

As the government of the beast will proceed 42 months (1260 days), it will be finished almost one month before the 7th trumpet. As you remember, the 7th trumpet will sound in 1290 days, when the resurrection of saints will take place. Thus Gog will go with the war against the antichrist a month before the 7th trumpet. Revelation said that the war will be the second woe (Rev.11:14), the third one will be the Second coming «And, behold, the third woe cometh quickly»(11:14), thus from 6th to 7th trumpet is only one month.

«For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem (as it was shown, "all nations" will attack Jerusalem only in the end of days. Never in history "all nations" attacked Jerusalem) to battle; and
the city shall be taken…and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from
the city. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle» (Zech.14:2,3).

(Isa.31:4-5 ): «So shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion.. so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem;
defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.. (This is not New Jerusalem. There will not be any idolaters in New Jerusalem, but there they will be in earthly Jerusalem - (31:7) For in that day every man shall cast away his idols)».

«Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people....
I will remove far off from you the northern army» (Joel 2:18,20).

«And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire , and will refine them … I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God» (Zech.13:8-9). The prophecy clear says that Jews will be again God’s people only after the Second coming. «I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day» (Zech.3:9).

«In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory… unto the residue of his people, … and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate» (Isa.28:5-6).

The rest of the Jews after all tests will be righteous (Ezek.14:22).
«he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem» (Isa.4:3).

«The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God» (Isa.10:21).

«The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity» (Zeph.3:13). It is spoken
about real, not about "symbolical" Jews: «I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth» (:20).

«Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy» (Mic.7:18).

«Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem» (Isa.52:9).

«In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem… And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications:» (Zech.12:8-10).

So, when the spirit of grace will be poured on Jews and Jews will be again God’s people? Bible calls the remnant those people who will be left after Jerusalem will be attacked by many nations (which was not happened yet) and God will defend Jerusalem. The remnant will be holy and it will appear only after the last battle before the Second coming.

As you see, Bible clearly tells that the remnant has nothing to do with Adventist church, which took this honorable title “the remnant” despite of what Bible says about the remnant.

Identity of Gog

For centuries there many discussions about who is Gog were going on . The Bible says that Gog is “ the head prince of Meshech and Tubal” (Ezek.38:2;39:1). “Head” in Heb. ”rosh”- for ex.: in Gen.40:16,20 and more than 400 times in the Bible; the word is often wrongly accepted as the name “Rosh”, as in Gen.46:21 Rosh is the name of son of Benjamin. However Benjamin was descendant of Shem, and Meshech and Tubal were sons of Japheth, another Noah’s son (Gen.10:2).

Japheth also had son Magog (Gen.10:2), his name was used together with the name of Gog twice in the Bible (Rev.20:7: Ezek.38:2), therefore Gog is related to Japheth’s descendants, not Benjamin’s. Besides that the Bible says Gog will come from the north (Ezek.38:6, 15; 39:2; Dan.11:40) and all tribes of Japheth were located at north. Therefore “rosh” in the given above verse is not the name, but the word that means “head, chief”.

A man name Gog as an ancestor of a nation was never mentioned in the Bible, hence name Gog is not the name of a some certain nation.

The Bible refers to the last military invaders of Jerusalem once as to the army of Gog and Magog (Rev.20:8), once as to army of Gog in the land of Magog (Ezek.38:2), and twice as to army of Gog (Ezek.39:1,11). The names of Meshech and Tubal as fractions of Gog’s army were not mentioned.

Thus the Bible though gives us a clue that Gog will come from the North, it doesn’t specify exactly any nation. Because of huge slave trade in the ancient region between Mediterranean and Caspian seas (in Ezek.27:13 it is said that Meshech and Tubal had an active slavery traffic*), frequent migrations (as for example: many mummies of people with European features were found in China), intermarriages and etc., nobody can say for sure where are descendants of this or that son of Noah today.

Moreover Rev.20:8 says that Gog and Magog are “the nations in the four corners of the earth”. Ezek.38:5,6 says that army of Gog will include people of Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, Libya and Gomer with Togarmah (both had inhabited the territory of the modern Turkey). So, Iran represents East; Ethiopia – South; Libya – West and Turkey – North. There again we see the nations of Gog’s army from “the four corners of the earth.” In Daniel 11:40-43 Gog’s army described as consisting of armies of the king of North; the king of South (Saudi Arabia); Libya and Nubia – West; Edom, Moab, Ammon (Jordan)– East. Revelation (16:12) adds that from East there many kings will come.

Consequently Magog in the given contexts doesn’t represent any certain nation either, and the name “Magog” actually means "people of Gog". And all the people that follow Gog can be called Gog or Magog. So Gog is a coalition of many countries which will be led by some northern country, organization or alliance.

For decades Israel’s enemies had only one definite common characteristic: they all are Islamic. Therefore it is logical to assume that the coalition of Gog-Magog will be coalition of Muslims countries, the haters of Jews.

For today radical Islamic groups through Jihad (holy Muslim war) had achieved the expansion of Islam through all Middle East and further, and are aspiring to unite all Muslim nations under Islamic Law. From there the great coalition of nations will arise to invade Israel – the only Christian-Judean country in the very heart of the Muslim world.

According to Qur'an Muslims should do the battle against Jews and Christians, and should slay them if they will not subdue themselves to Islam (Qur'an, AT-TAWBA, 9:5,29).

Surat al-Tawba tells , that those of non-Muslims with whom Muslims made a mutual alliance have immunity from Jihad until the time of the alliance will be complete. The antichrist will make the tripartite Christian- Jewish- Muslim treaty for 7 years, therefore wars will be stopped. In 3,5 years he will break the treaty with the Jews, but will proceed the treaty with Muslims for 3,5 years longer. Only when the 7 years of the treaty will be finished the Muslims will be free from obligations of the treaty and will attack the antichrist.

Qur'an teaches, that repentance is necessary only for unbelievers who had decided to accept Islam and for those who rejected to participate in the holy war against unbelievers.
